NGC2170 and Several Other Objects in Monoceros
Imaged from Nova Scotia, Winter, 2026
While entitled NGC 2170, that object is the smallest and least conspicuous object in this busy field. The largest, and most prominent is actually the HII region LBN999. Several VdB reflection features are also in this field as can be identified from the annotated frame. The Ha emission associated with the VdB objects has been deemphasized in processing to preserve the reflection nebulosity.
